Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Kigali to Nyungwe Forest National Park

After breakfast at your hotel in Kigali, you will be picked up and driven to Kigali international hotel to take your scenic helicopter flight to Nyungwe forest national park. Enjoy the aerial views of Kigali city and Rwanda’s countryside. On arrival at the helipad in Nyungwe, your safari driver will pick you up and drive you to your lodge for check in and a relaxation time around the facility. Later in the afternoon after your lunch, you will go for the famous Canopy walk over the Nyungwe forest. The walkway is about 50 meters above the ground. Overnight back at your lodge.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe National Park

Today’s activity starts really early in the morning. You will head to the park’s head office for a briefing about the chimpanzee trekking experience and after head into the forest following the lead of your ranger guide to track down the playful chimpanzees that inhabit Nyungwe forest national park. Spend an hour in their presence and after exit the forest and drive back to your lodge. Have your lunch and spend the rest of the day at leisure or your can opt for a few activities here and there. Overnight at your lodge.

Day 3: Nyungwe Forest National Park to Kigali

A leisure morning and a delicious breakfast. Check out and drive to the airstrip for your helicopter transfer back to Kigali. Your tour driver will be waiting to drive you back to your hotel in Kigali or continue to the airport for your international flight back home.
